A Brief Update
Today was our first day of class. I just watched a gecko run accross our floor. Anyways, I have raised up most of my funds. Currently I have approximately $3000 left to raise for my outreach and I would like to ask for a little extra prayer about my new roomate. One of our roomates moved back home, and our last roomate came yesterday. There seems to be some cultural differences and he doesn't get allong with one of my roomates at all. They updated the UofN site so if you want to learn more about my trip I will be taking in 3 months, you can check out http://www.uofnkona.edu/dts/mdts.html. We have a 12 week school schedule, and just as I'm done with college thinking no more schooling, here I am with a book report due in a week and a half (friday the 13th.) My team so far seems great, and we're all so different, it could pose a problem, so prayer that we can mesh without frustrations would be good. I think we'll be fine, but these are the things I would like prayer for. Email me (joeloliver@gmail.com ) if you want to chat. I have easy internet access. Thank you all for your prayers. I will work on my newsletter soon to get out to you all.

You gonna be able to finish the book on time? (Insert cheeky grin here)
it's easy... if you can manage to pull yourself away from the beaches... oh wait... you can read at the beach too. :)
Dear Joel
I love you. God is teaching you about divsity and integration. Only His Holy Spirit can make you one. Be good I am praying for you.
Gekko's eat cockroaches so seeing them is a good thing. They are your friends.
Auntie Kani (Connie Schmidt)
one of the hardest things on my outreach was all of the different personalities... unity is very important and God is able to do more than we can ever hope or imagine. I will pray for a bond in your team to start. You have a ways to go. Remember to love each one of them with 1st cor 13 kind of love... Joel is patient, Joel is kind, Joel does not... that was one of the biggest lessons I have learned in my life. Take care my friend. Know that you are being surrounded, covered, and lifted up in prayer.
Dear Joel,
You have quite a challange before you but I know with prayer and lots of listening for Gods guidence
you will be fine. Our prayers are with you daily.
We're having your mom and dad to dinner tomorrow night. With all the holiday festivities it will be nice to just be the 4 of us to visit. Brook and Jeremy have a hard time to go out weeknights. Brooke and I had a good visit on the phone last nigh so that takes the place of them comming over. Tell us the name of the book you are reading. Blessings
We love you, Grandma
